MY FRIEND JEN CARIBBEAN SICKLE CELL FOUNDATION
Sickle Cell Education & Awareness (SEA) by My Friend Jen CIC was created for the benefit of the sickle cell community; those living with sickle cell and those who are impacted directly or indirectly by sickle cell. Our main purpose is to create and deliver sickle cell educational resources, projects and events in the UK and worldwide.
Sister organisation of My Friend Jen CIC, our objective in the Caribbean is to:
- Provide educational resources
- Promote awareness campaigns across the country
- Deliver educational programmes in schools
- Assist in improving medical care, facilities and treatments that would positively impact people living with sickle cell in Jamaica and the Caribbean.
As a founding member back in 2020 and the current president, The European Sickle Cell Federation (ESCF) is a European umbrella network of Sickle Cell Disease patient organisations with One United Voice. It was the first entity of its kind to represent individuals living with Sickle Cell Disease in Europe.
