Jenica Leah is the award winning author of the first children's book series created to promote sickle cell education and to give young children with sickle cell confidence and peace of mind.

The series of fun and informative children's books were self published through Jenica Leah's own independent publishing house JLG Publishing.

My Friend Jen: A Little Different

The debut children's book from the 'My Friend Jen' series. In its first year it was used by sickle cell organisations in various countries including England, Australia, Nigeria, The Gambia, Antigua, Jamaica and over 10 states in the USA.

My Friend Jen: The Check Up

Published: March 2020 (World Book Day)

This book follows Jen to the hospital for her sickle cell check-up with the same fun and rhyming format as the first book. The series is now internationally recognised for its importance and influence in health care.
